Quick & Easy Finger Food Recipe: Purée Pinwheels

Feeding toddlers can be tricky; a hit one day can be a miss the next. Struggling to get enough nutrients into your toddlers diet when transitioning onto finger foods? We’ve got your back! We’ve teamed up with some of our favourite moms to serve up some quick & easy recipe ideas that will conquer this weaning hurdle!

 

Purée Pinwheel Recipe

Inspired by Natasha Corrett (find her recipe here)

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 x pouches ohbaby veg puree (pumpkin / chicken spinach / beetroot tahini are our favs)
  • 1 x roll puff pastry (buy gluten free pastry mix if you prefer)
  • 1 x tbsp flour, for rolling
  • 1 x egg, beaten

Method:

 

  • Pre-heat oven to 180
  • Lay the puff pastry out on floured surface
  • Spread the puree mixture across the pastry, leaving a +-3cm edge
  • Brush the egg around the edges
  • Roll the pastry tightly and fold the ends to secure Slice about 2cm thick
  • Place each wheel flat on baking paper with about 3cm between each one
  • Bake for 25 minutes or 20 minutes if you are choosing to freeze & reheat them

Take out, leave to cool & watch baby go! 👶🏻👶🏽👶🏼
